THEIR STORY.

- From the moment Jax, the youngest and last of three children, was born, he was adored and doted on. Who couldn't love a boy sweet as pie? At the age of eleven, his parents would divorce, leading to an adolescence spent bouncing between households. Not that this rift in his personal life would deter him from his ambitions: his family was known in Lexington for law enforcement and emergency services — with the exception of the stepmom that became legally official when he was just shy of graduating tenth grade — and off Jax went to become a firefighter like his older brother.
- The beginning of his twenties was great, because he met and fell in love with a boy. The middle of his twenties, not so much, because the Fall happened. Paul had been deployed at the time and never came back, presumed KIA, and Jax was soon after rounded up to be implanted. He continued to work in EMS putting out fires, saving cats in trees, posing for calendars. It was a static, but predictable, life under the Veil.
- Ten years went by before the first memory bleed through. Jax had never truly forgotten Paul, but ten years sterilized from negative emotion meant all his unprocessed grief would come clawing its way back up with a vengeance. In that whirlwind of emotion, Jax would be picked up by an undercover Dislinked agent, and began the process of recruitment into the Resistance. It meant leaving his family behind, but — he needed to ensure that Paul hadn't died for nothing.
- Jax's journey began in Espionage, and three years ago, he was promoted to Head of Resettlement for his kind and welcoming heart.
